1️⃣ Setting Up Telegram on a Mobile Device
For Android (Google Play Store)
- Open Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for "Telegram" in the search bar.
- Tap on Telegram (by Telegram FZ-LLC) and click Install.
- Once installed, open the app.
- Tap Start Messaging.
- Enter your phone number and tap Next.
- You will receive an SMS code – enter it to verify your number.
- Set up your profile name and picture (optional).
- Done! You can now start using Telegram.
For iPhone (Apple App Store)
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for "Telegram" in the search bar.
- Tap on Telegram Messenger and press Get to install.
- Once installed, open the app.
- Tap Start Messaging.
- Enter your phone number and tap Next.
- You will receive an SMS verification code – enter it.
- Set up your profile name and picture (optional).
- Done! You can now start using Telegram.
2️⃣ Setting Up Telegram on a Desktop
For Windows
- Go to Telegram's official website: https://telegram.org/
- Click on "Get Telegram for Windows" and download the setup file.
- Open the downloaded file and install Telegram.
- Once installed, open Telegram.
- Click Start Messaging.
- You will see two options:
- Log in with phone number (Enter your number and verify via SMS).
- Scan QR Code (Open Telegram on mobile → Go to Settings → Devices → Scan QR).
- Once logged in, you can start using Telegram.
For macOS
- Go to the Mac App Store or visit https://telegram.org/.
- Search for "Telegram" and click Get to download.
- Install and open Telegram.
- Click Start Messaging.
- Choose one of the login options:
- Enter your phone number and verify with the SMS code.
- Scan QR Code (Open Telegram on mobile → Go to Settings → Devices → Scan QR).
- Done! You can now use Telegram on macOS.
3️⃣ Setting Up Telegram on the Web
Using Telegram Web
- Open a web browser and go to https://web.telegram.org.
- You will see two options:
- Login with phone number (Enter your number, receive a login code via SMS, and enter it).
- Login via QR Code (Open Telegram on your mobile → Go to Settings → Devices → Scan QR).
- Once logged in, you can start using Telegram on your browser.
4️⃣ Setting Up Telegram on Linux
- Open the Terminal and run:
- Extract the downloaded file:
- Move to the extracted folder and run Telegram:
- Login using your phone number or QR code.
- Done! Telegram is now installed and ready to use on Linux.

- You can sync your Telegram across multiple devices using the same phone number.
- Use Telegram Desktop for advanced features like bulk file uploads and bot management.
- Enable Two-Step Verification for extra security (Settings → Privacy & Security → Two-Step Verification).
